Sivaji's Side

KBZ FC will face Southern Myanmar at home on Saturday as the opening match of MNL Myanmar 2013. The followings are what Sivaji is thinking about his own team, the opponent and the game itself;

On his team....

Our preparations have not been ideal mainly due to Samuel and Nunes arriving in the last week of December, leaving them with less than two weeks of preparations with the team. But these players have been with us last season and they are familiar with the workings within the team. Moreover, they have been keeping themselves fit during their break in their respective countries. Fortunately the spine of the team is still intact and I am sure that we will be in full gear when we get into the third match of the season.

On the opponent team....

That is not to say that we will take our first two games less than seriously. Southern Myanmar, our first opponent in the MNL are no pushovers even though they don't have foreign players in the team. Ken Worden is a competent coach who sets out his team well. They work very hard and will punish any sign of complacency.

On the game...

We will take this game, like any other game, seriously. We will be playing at our home KBZ stadium in Taunggyi and have had fantastic support from our fans here. We know that every team that comes here would like to beat us especially at our home ground. We will make sure that we keep KBZ Stadium a strong fortress and play good football to keep our fans coming to support us. The mood in our camp is very good and the team is raring to go. We hope to get the three points that will kick off our season.
