A huge dose of confidence

As KBZ FC finally got their first win of the season last Saturday against Nay Pyi Taw FC at home, Sivaji is now looking for more. The followings are what the tactician told kbzfc.com about last game, his team’s form, the opponent team and the next game;

On the last game

The 2-0 victory against Nay Pyi Taw FC last Saturday is a boost to the team morale. It was a tough game as Nay Pyi Taw FC passed the ball well and some of their attempts hit the goal frame. Fortunately we defended well and when goal scoring opportunities came our way we took them well.

On his team’s form

I had said just before our season commenced that it would take us at least three matches to get into our rhythm. This is because Samuel and Nunes only rejoined the team in the last week of December 2012. And Song In Young’s ITC only arrived late last week for him to be eligible to play against NPT.

Song had a good debut and although he didn’t score any goals, he showed his quality in the last game. With a little bit more training with the team, i am sure he will do well for KBZ FC

On the Opponent

AUFC is a good team. They have changed quite a lot of their players including Thiha Sithu who was a rock in their defence last season. All four foreigners are new, among which Leandro is the only one who has played in the MNL before. They have drawn all three matches which means they will be difficult to beat.

On the next game

However our win last week has given the team a huge dose of confidence and we are looking to build on that performance. All our players are available to play in the next match and the competition for places is healthy.

I am looking towards our team continuing its improving form and pick up the three points. It is important that we keep in touch with the front runners and the boys are aware of the task in hand.
